The FOTAS D-3 dual 3km channel Controller is a fiber optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) system that provides early warning security alerts to protect critical infrastructure. It detects events such as third-party intrusions, illegal crossings below the ground when fiber optic cable buried or above the ground when attached to perimeter fencing. Two sensing channels either allows the system to achieve a linear total of 6km of detection distance from the two 3km channels. Two channel loop configuration supports cut-resilient designs for uninterrupted monitoring and higher security reliance. D-3 processor and detection modules are embedded into a 2U housing that fits into a standard 19 inch rack / cabinet.
